How Black Stone Cherry Gained Their Freedom on ‘Kentucky’

I was lucky enough to see Black Stone Cherry live in October 2024 when they opened for Clutch and Rival Sons on their Two-Headed Beast tour and I’ve been a fan ever since. They’re a modern southern rock band with hard rock and metal influences. Plus, guitarist Ben Wells is so much fun (and exhausting) to watch on stage!

On this episode of Rock ‘n’ Roll Tales from the Lady in Black, Lana shares her thoughts on Black Stone Cherry’s fifth studio album, Kentucky (2016). She also talks about the importance of the band switching record labels and producing the album themselves.
