2022 was one of the best, but also one of the worst years of my life. To help me deal the stress, I turned to bands like Overkill for comfort. Initially, I wasn’t a fan because of Bobby “Blitz” Ellsworth’s raspy vocals, but I grew to appreciate his vocals because there’s no one else that sounds like him. The album that immediately caught my eye was The Electric Age (2012) because of the song, “Wish You Were Dead.” The Electric Age has exactly what you would expect from Overkill with D.D. Verni’s menacing bass lines, Bobby Blitz’s signature growls, blistering guitar riffs, and an unapologetic attitude. With all that said, let’s get on with the music!
