I’m Finally 22, So What’s New?

On Monday, Nov. 30, I turned 22 years old, and no, I did not sing Taylor Swift’s “22” that day. But it was a great day; I got to see my grandma, I had chicken katsu from L&L for lunch, two of my Amazon CDs came in, I had spring rolls and fried shrimp for dinner, and my mom made chocolate cupcakes for dessert. A lot can happen in one year; I became obsessed with five bands during the pandemic. So today, I’ll be sharing what it feels like to be 22, what’s changed, and what stayed the same.

The biggest lesson I’ve learned from this year is that plans change, and you have to make the best of what you got. Last December, I bought VIP passes for the Stadium tour with Def Leppard, Mötley Crüe, and Poison. I had third-row seats, and I was going to meet the members of Def Leppard (and give Rick Allen my drawing). When COVID-19 hit, those plans changed, so I had to deal with the fact that it wasn’t my time to meet the boys yet. Instead of yelling at my neighbors to let my anger out, I turned to music as an outlet for it. The closest interaction I had with Allen was through Instagram, which was one of the best things that happened to me.

Another thing I’ve noticed is that this year forced me to grow up, but that’s not a bad thing. I had to evaluate everything that’s happened in my life so far: the friends I’ve made, my dreadful high school days, how I treat my family, and the first half of my college career. I spent three years practicing my percussion skills to make the high school drumline, with no success. Looking back on it now, it wasn’t worth it (though all that practicing got me into Wind I, the top concert band at my school, so that was a plus). I finished high school, and I’m in my last year of college; the drumline and marching band were only temporary portions of my life. Now that I think about it, not many of the drumline members continued with marching band after college.

As I’ve talked about before, I’ve been listening to a lot of music throughout this pandemic. The problem with getting into older bands is that I wish I saw them in concert sooner. Yes, concerts will return one day, but that won’t fix everything. It doesn’t change the fact that Richie Sambora isn’t in Bon Jovi anymore or that Malcolm Young isn’t alive anymore. Bon Jovi came to Hawaii in 2010, Sambora was still in the band at the time. Young’s last tour with AC/DC was in 2010, and I was about 12-years-old at the time, which would’ve been a decent age to get into them. On the bright side, I may still have a chance to see the boys live, along with Metallica, Def Leppard, Iron Maiden, and the Backstreet Boys. I won’t let these bands out of my sight anymore!

Though I do regret not getting into these bands earlier, I don’t regret my childhood and the shows that defined it. I grew up with Barney & FriendsThe WigglesDora the ExplorerBlue’s CluesHannah MontanaZoey 101Kickin’ It, and Lab Rats. I’ve talked about this before in my post titled, It’s Ok to Hold Onto Your Childhood!, but I’m proud of my youth and the fact that I grew up when Disney Channel was at its peak. Those shows bring back happy memories and define who I am. I revisit some of those shows to remind me to stay humble and not get overwhelmed when this world drives me crazy. So yes, I regret not getting into bands like Def Leppard sooner, but I don’t regret my childhood!

To recap my thoughts, I’ve learned that plans change (but that’s ok), this year forced me to grow up, I regret not getting into older bands earlier, but I don’t regret my childhood and the shows that defined it. So 2020 has been a hectic year, but I’ve developed quite a bit, and though I don’t have my driver’s license yet, I feel more mature as a 22-year-old than I did as a 21-year-old. Will things be different when I turn 23? You’ll have to wait and find out!

Take care and see ya real soon!

Lana

  1. Happy birthday Lana! No worries about regrets not getting into bands sooner. You’re into them now, enjoy! And just reflecting… wow, 22 was a long time ago for me… you seem to have a much better handle on things than I did at that age, so rock on!

    1. Thanks so much Aaron! Yeah, I should just enjoy listening to these bands now, rather than showing regrets on the past. Suprisingly, I’m not the only one that got into these bands later, as there are reaction videos for AC/DC and Iron Maiden etc., so that helps a lot! Really? That’s interesting to hear! I guess cause of all the research I did and knowing what people have gone through (at least with drugs and alcohol), I learn not to do those things. What were you like at age 22?

      1. Absolutely Lana, like what you like, no regrets! What was I like at 22? Definitely much thinner and more energetic than I am now. I was living in Mike’s town, then, probably around the time I was in college for print journalism… but yeah, otherwise probably pretty much the same as now. Happy birthday, no regrets and enjoy every moment ‘cos it goes so fast!

      2. What you said about life going by fast, absolutely true! I like how you said that you were thinner and more energetic, cause isn’t that what most people are like at age 22? Thanks for sharing your memories Aaron. Speaking of Mike, will you be watching his live stream this week about Iron Maiden deep cuts?

      3. Ha yeah I floated that bit about more energetic out there as a laugh, folks right now tell me to slow the hell down sometimes. I don’t know if I’ll be watching Mike’s chat live, but if not I will catch it on the weekend. I do have a list forming for inclusion, though. Not gonna lie, this is a tough one to keep at 11 songs! But yes, carpe diem because it’ll feel like tomorrow morning you’ll wake up at 40 and wonder what the hell happened to all that time.

      4. To do this day, I wonder how I ended up in my senior year of college so fast! Oh you’re working on a list for the show? Nice! I would’ve done one too, but I’m not a super Maiden fan yet to know their catalog. I’m all about spoilers, what do you have so far?

      5. Senior year of college… enjoy your youth to the fullest! I’m sitting here wondering how I’m on the sunny side of 50! Do you know enough Maiden to come up with 11 songs that weren’t singles that you like? You could send those. No spoilers from here, sorry. I’ve already had one disqualified though…

      6. I most certainly will, I wasted so much of the first half of college regretting my past mistakes in high school. I’m not going to waste the rest of my life doing so, I am going to enjoy listening to my new favorite bands and live while I’m young (get the One Direction reference? Nah, ok!)

I keep on forgetting you’re older than I thought you were. Exercising and eating right has done you well!

Unfortunately, no! I could try come up with a list, but I would need more time on it because I want to take my time with Maiden’s songs before making a list like that. To be honest, I’m not surprised you already got one song disqualified, after how many times you were disqualified in the AC/DC deep cuts show haha!

      7. Yup no regrets, and sorry I don’t believe I’ve ever heard a One Direction song. Gneration gap! Thanks, I try to take care of myself, it ain’t easy. And hey now, was it that many disqualifications in the SC/DC show for me? I’d have to re-watch.

      8. Not even “What Makes You Beautiful”? That song used to play on the radio nonstop, but then again, you don’t need to get sucked into that.

It ain’t easy and that’s why I’m praising you for good health mate!

I can’t exactly remember, I’d have to re-watch that one too. But I remember you were disqualified for something. I think you included a single or two.

      9. Well, maybe to hear it, but I don’t listen to the radio so who knows. Maybe I heard it in a shoppe somewhere but I wouldn’t really have been paying attention. And thanks, it’s one of those snowball effects where if I start doing the right things, I feel better, so I do more right things. I’ve learned that motivation is crap, it’s not required. I’m going to do it or I’m not, simple. I go for it! Today I rode the exercise bike for 1:18:00, all of Star Wars Ep. I, up until they leave Tatooine. Tomorrow, I ride about the same time as they sneak in and take down the Trade Federation!

      10. Exercisng is part of your routine and you do automatically it sounds like, which is good! If people feel like exercising is an obligation and they force themselves to do it, then they don’t want to do it and eventually drop it altogether! 1:18:00, so that’s an hour and eighteen minutes?

      11. As a kid, I was always running around and outside doing stuff (we were hardly ever in the house, even in winter). I played a ton of hockey until I was about 14, then I switched to basketball. Always on the move. I didn’t think about it as ‘working out’ as just doing stuff. There’s a big psychology thing there – if you make it work, it gets harder to maintain. Anyway I went right through my 20s doing stuff, going to the gym, doing yoga, just long walks through Montreal for hours… It was my 30s where I fell off a bit – having kids and two jobs will do that to a guy. That’s when it became work to maintain. And now, mid-40s, I’m trying to recapture that fun for myself, especially via keeping my own kids active like I was. Covid has messed all that up, but we do what we can. Just gotta go!

      12. Woah you played hockey?!?! That’s awesome! And so true, when you call it work, people procrastinate and don’t do it eventually! Ah kids and two jobs makes sense because you lose hours in the day and it takes a lot out of you! At least for me, college takes a lot out me, which is why I haven’t had a consistent exercise routine these past two months. Covid has messed things up for everyone, but I salute you for being on the move despite that!

      13. I did play hockey, for about 10 years, as a kid. Still my favourite game (best game on Earth!). I was a forward, usually center but sometimes on the left wing, and I got pretty good at it, netted 120 goals my last year. Problem was, at 14 years old I was 5’2″ and about 95lbs soaking wet (my 11 year old son is bigger than that already) and I grew up in a farming community with a bunch of guys much bigger and stronger than me. So, when body contact age came around, I was getting killed, and eventually I wasn’t fast enough or skilled enough to get away from them anymore, so I switched to basketball. Then I grew, go figure. I still love the game, though. Go Leafs!

Yup, 2 kids, 2 jobs, 2 cars and a mortgage will eat up your day. I’m not complaining one bit, though, nope, no way.

I remember being in first year university, taking a full course load during the day, and working full-time hours at a convenience store overnight to make ends meet. Sleep? What’s that? Ah, youth.

There’s always opportunity to move, to get ‘er done, so I’ll bet there’s a minimum of a half hour in your day watching TV or something where you could get in some movement instead. We all have 24 hours in a day, it’s just a mindset thing, you gotta make the time for it. Break a sweat every day, it’ll improve so much else (sleep, focus and concentration, outlook, everything). And it’s a snowball effect, once you do it, you start to feel better. Ecercise more, you’ll feel even better, so you’ll keep doing it, and so on. You can give ‘er, Lana!

      14. Ah yeah, I’ve always thought hockey was about strength and size, so makes sense! You were 5’2″ at age 14? I’m barely 5’1″ (in my humble opinion) and I just turned 22! Curse my mom for only being 4’9.” I’ve always wanted to watch a hockey game, but never had the motivation to do so, unless movies count!

Sounds like a busy, but good life!

Yep, no sleep, just work, partying, and procrastination (at least that’s my generation).

You are so right, with the amount of time I spend on youtube, I’d have more than enough time to exercise everyday. I keep on making excuses saying if I don’t watch some youtube, I’m going to lose my mind over my school work and I get carried away at times. But I do have a goal and it’d be nice to get rid of some weight by the new year! Though, I must say, my figure has slightly changed since August! That counts right?

      15. Yeah at 14 I was 5’2″, then around 16 grew (painfully, quickly) and now I’m about 6’2″. 4’9″! Small but mighty, I’ll bet! My goodness, I mean, my daughter is 9 and is 4’5″. Hm. We do run a bit taller in my family, though not like some folks, who become giants. Ah well, it’s all good, doesn’t matter one bit!

You should definitely watch hockey. It’s a beautiful game. Do they have rinks out there on the islands? Can you go to a game, even local hockey? Or would it only be on TV?

Busy life, yup, and not in past tense – it’s still busy ongoing right now! I’ll sleep when I’m dead. I didn’t party at university, I didn’t have time, I was either in class, studying, working, or sleeping.

You might benefit from some sort of ScreenTime alarm/counter app, something that gives you, say, an hour (or however long) to do whatever and then tells you time’s up. That way, you can move on to other things, like getting a sweat on! I did an hour on the bike today and watched Revenge Of The Sith while I pedalled away. See, it’s doable!

And you know what’s key? That feeling like taking a break and watching YT will save your brain from exploding? Exercise does the exact same thing but it’s even better, and though it’s tough at first, it will actually give you more energy and better sleep for the school stuff. True story. And yup, every step towards being wherever you want to be is a positive, so good on ya since August, it totally counts! Do some workout every single day, get that heart rate up! You’ll just feel better. You can do it!

      16. Ahh wow 5’2″ to 6’2″ is a big jump! Yeah I guess it has to do with family genes. My relatives on my mom’s side are short. My dad’s side is a little taller, and I take after my dad, thankfully. My older sister is 5’3.”

We have Ice Palace in Hawaii, I went there a few times and was always worried someone would step on my feet with their skates haha. People play hockey here. But yeah, I’ll give hockey games a chance if I come across a game on TV (I can also google some games too).

Good for you for studying, working, or sleeping, that shows how responsible you are and what many college kids should strive for! Well, some fun is good I guess. But does that mean no college clubs for you?

My therapist told me I’d benefit from a timer, similar to a ScreenTime alarm/counter app you’re referring to. I set like an hour for youtube and then when time’s up, I move onto something else. I tried it for two days, but then I gave up because I got sick of it telling me how long I should watch youtube (I know, I have a youtube problem)! You don’t watch much youtube do you?

You are right about feeling better after exercising! Mentally I felt good knowing that I was taking care of my body, and it was one of the best feelings in the world! Youtube is an unhealthy habit anyway, curse all those YouTubers I’m addicted to. I’ll try my best to get back in the habit by watching less youtube, doing schoolwork, but also scheduling a time for exercise. Thanks, I appreciate the encouragement!

      17. They won’t step on your feet, no worries. Some day you should even rent some skates and give it a try! Skating is one of the best feelings, but I’m Canadian, I’m probably born thinking that way… There’s so much hockey to watch, NHL, women’s leagues, European leagues, minor leagues. It’s endless and all awesome!

Me, responsible? Oh I probably bagged off now and again, but I didn’t drink so clubs and watching other people get drunk was boring.

If YT is that much of a problem, your therapist is right! It’s up to you to make it stick, though. Have a plan for after your time’s up and just go do that next thing. I do watch on YT, probably more than I ought to, but it’s usually while I do something else, like lift weights or clean up the house, so really it’s more like an audiobook because I’m not always looking at it and I’m usually moving around.

      18. That must explain why Justin Bieber likes hockey, nah I’m kidding! If I can skate with those helper bars, then I’ll give it a try one day. Ooh I’ve always wondered how intense women play hockey. One of my favorite Disney Channel Original Movies is called ‘Go Figure’ and it’s about a girl figure skater that starts playing hockey after landing a scholarship I think.

Ah you don’t drink, that’s right! You talked about that in Mike’s live stream. I have two older sisters (one that drinks and the other occasionally drinks), while watching them have hangovers are not fun, one of my sisters had a hilarious hangover one time and I wish we could find that video!

Ah you watch youtube while doing something else, that makes a difference! i know I have a problem. My therapist is right and the timer did work for those two days I tried that method, so I might go back to it one day. Plus, I’m sick of going to bed at 2:00am – 3:00am everyday!

      19. Women’s hockey is AWESOME, and honestly should have as much screen time as the men. It’s just as intense.

Yeah I never used to drink, then I did for a while (with some fun times, to be sure), now I don’t again, doubt I will in future either but who knows. It wasn’t ever a problem, I just don’t need it. I’ll stick to my ‘straight edge juice’ (water)!

Yup I put a video on, then go work out and listen. My screen time must be huge but I’m hardly actually in front of the thing, by comparison. If the timing thing works, stick to it – that’s just discipline. You don’t need motivation, you need discipline, if you want something you’ll either do it or you won’t. I say do it! 2am? Damn, I’m asleep by 10:30 and up at 4:00. LET’S GO!!

      20. Woah!

I mean it’s good you don’t drink! I used to think that drinking allowed me to let loose and have fun, but I do that with my music, so I don’t need alcohol anymore really!

Dude, in the first two months of my fall semester, I used to work out at 8 am, but living in Hawaii, the heat took it’s toll and I got sick of having to shower twice a day, so I went back to exercising later in the day. But that first method was working for me! Canada is cold there, so it must be no problem for you!

      21. Music is the universal language, fun is just one aspect. And yeah, it’s cool here sometimes, not like Hawaii for half the year, but summer here is hot too. For me, anything over about 20C (68F) is hot.

      22. We went to Mexico for a week’s vacation, one year. I spent most of the time going between a/c hotel room, a/c restaurant and the pool. I tend to run warm anyway, so tropical-like heat was tough! I’d imagine, if I lived there, I’d eventually get used to it.

      23. That’s cool, and that’s what’s awesome about traveling around the world (not that I’ve done it), but seeing other people do it, you get a different perspective of life! Ooh any shopping there, like record stores?

      24. Also meant to say, when I was a kid in the 80s, hockey was rougher, where size and strength (I had neither) helped out a lot. It still does now, of course, but if you watch young players now, they can be smaller and get away with it because they’re so skilled they just make things happen. Case in point: Nick Suzuki played here on our OHL team, my son’s favourite player for them (until he went to the NHL). We met him at a skatearound after a game, and he’s smaller than me. Me, on skates I’m 6’4″ or maybe 6’5″… they list him in his NHL stats as 5’11 but I wonder if that’s puffed up a bit (who knows). Anyway, he doesn’t need to be big, he’s so skilled, the way he plays the game has led him to now be a first or second line center for the Montreal Canadiens. It happens! Anyway, best game ever, I love it.

      25. Ah I guess things have changed for the sport. So it sounds like, nowadays hockey is more than just size and strength, correct? Like strategy, teamwork, and leadership. Oh that’s cool you guys got to meet Nick, being your son’s favorite player for OHL at the time. 5’11” is not bad, then again, anything after 5’3″ is impressive to me!

Wait, people in the center, they don’t score goals do they? They assist their teammates in helping them score?

        Like

      26. It’s changed in some ways, but the big guys are still out there. Look at Zdeno Chara (Boston Bruins). That guy’s about 6’9″ BEFORE he puts on skates. He makes all the others look like boys. And he’s tough, real tough. And he’s a veteran, he’s only a couple of years younger than me and he’s still out there. I wouldn’t tangle with him! But yeah, hockey has really changed, I think for the better, for the most part. It’s come a long way from the Broad Street Bullies (a notoriously rough Philadelphia team in the 70s), that’s for sure.

It was cool meeting Suzuki, he even signed my boy’s jersey and posed for a picture for us. Centers definitely score, some of them a lot. Any player on the ice (even goalies, it has happened!) can score a goal at any time. It’s more about getting the puck to the player who has the best chance in any given moment, all at breakneck speed and in a constantly changing environment. And players are only ever on the ice, now, usually under a minute at a time. Short shifts keeps fresh players on the ice.

        Liked by 1 person

      27. Oh dang 6’9″?!?! That dude must have good genes! I wonder what’s the age most players retire. Just the name Broad Street Bullies sounds intimidating!

Awww that’s so sweet Suzuki signed your son’s jersey and took a pic with you guys; he sounds like a nice dude! Oh centers do score goals, oh ok, I read on Wikipedia that they mostly help pass the puck and they don’t score much, that’s why. Under a minute? Dang, the players really need to show off their skills quickly then.

      28. Yeah there are some pretty big dude in hockey, and tough as nails. Man, I love that game. There’s a documentary about the BSB in Philly on YT. I know you’re trying to cut back on YT though, so forget I said that…

I’ve never read the Wiki page on hockey, it actually says that? Huh. I always figured it’s all hands on deck and put the puck in the net, doesn’t matter who just get ‘er done! Now I gotta go read that and see what else I apparently don’t know about the game from watching/playing for 40 years.

        Liked by 1 person

      29. Haha no worries! One documentary won’t hurt!

Oh no! I’m sure you know more than me. Also, I briefly read through that page, so I’m likely to have misread some things on there!

        Like

      30. I doubt you misread anything, you’re the student not me. I just can’t quite grasp a center not scoring as often, unless it’s not expected of the position somehow (but ven then I doubt it). I mean, Wayne Gretzky, one of the greatest to ever put on skates, scored more goals than anyone in history (a record only Ovechkin is remotely close to challenging right now) and he was a center.

        Liked by 1 person

      31. I mean wikipedia is very broad. It did say that centers do score at times, so it is possible! Also, you’ve seen actual hockey games, unlike me. According to Wkipedia, Wayne’s playing ability is very impressive. He’s the only NHL player to score over 200 points in one season!

        Like

      32. It’s hard to overstate the impact of Wayne Gretzky on the game – he’s a hockey god, really. My favourite player, as a kid. Of course, he grew up a fan (and friend) of Gordie Howe and says he was the best ever. On it goes back into history. I doubt anyone will ever come close to everything Gretzky accomplished in the game. Have a look at his list of championships, awards, records, and general amazingness. Unreal.

      33. Ah ok, I’m not good at knowing what’s good and impressive in terms of hockey records, but based on the website I’m looking at, it talks about how he won the most Art Ross trophies in a career and most Hart trophies in a career. It also talked about how he had three consecutive 200-point seasons, which caught my attention.

  2. Happy Birthday, Lana! Almost a December baby like me!

It is funny, I got into these bands 30 years ago and I still feel like I missed out. I didn’t get to see AC/DC with Bon or when they were at their peak. No CCR, Cream, or Hendrix for me! But you got into them and are appreciating them in the present. I don’t think a band or artist can ask for anything more.

    1. You’re a December baby?!?! That’s so cool! I never thought of it like that. What’s funny is that Rick Allen’s (from Def Leppard) birthday is the first day of November and mine is the last day of November, so I’m weird and think that we’re destined to meet one day haha! When is your birthday Kevin?

You don’t know how comforting your comment is knowing that I’m not the only one who feels like they missed out on these great artists. Sorry you never got to see them with Bon, he died pretty early in their career unfortunately. Omg, Hendrix would’ve been epic to see (I don’t listen to his music, but I know how much people admire him). You bring up a good point, it’s an accomplishment for the band when they gain new fans, no matter how far they are in their career. That’s probably why Queen was amazed by all the new fans they gained from the Bohemian Rhapsody movie.

      1. The 12th, but don’t tell anyone!

Queen is a good example! I knew some of their songs before but I didn’t really get into them until Wayne’s World came out. And that was 30 years ago! I felt like a poser, lol

      2. Ah the 12th, cool and I won’t tell anyone! Don’t know if that was a joke, but I won’t tell anyways.

I think before Bohemian Rhapsody, Wayne’s World was how a lot of people got into Queen lol. I think that’s how Adam Lambert got into them too. I think with Rocket Man, that’s how more people are getting into Elton John!

      3. Ok good, it’s hard to tell when people are joking or being sarcastic (not you but another scenario) when communicating through WordPress messages haha! I agree with you about how the right scenes can give the songs an edge and people can connect with them better.

In some cases though, I don’t think biopics are a good idea, especially with how they portrayed Brian, Roger, and Deacon in ‘Bohemian Rhapsody.’ They were portrayed as jerks in my opinion, which they are not based on the interviews I’ve watched. It seems like they wanted to dramatize the band’s life even more. I saw comments on youtube about how they should do an AC/DC biopic and I’m like nope! I don’t want the movie to dramatize or portray the band members in a negative way as well.

Ok, that’s my rant for the day!

      4. Excellent rant! I really have no desire to see AC/DC bio as well. I have a feeling there is a good chance one will be made on Bon after all of the band members are long gone. I hope it doesn’t happen, but the opportunity to make money will probably win over.

      5. It’s all about money these days, but the boys are not like that. That’s what makes AC/DC so awesome, they play rock n roll for fun, not to make money. You’re right though, as long as Angus and the boys are still around, there’s no way in heck they’ll allow a biopic about Bon to happen!

  3. Happy belated Birthday, Lana!!✨
Sounds like 2020 has been a hectic but incredibly interesting year for you! I have never been obsessed with any band but I wish I started spending more time drawing and writing earlier. I’m glad you found music to be a comforting outlet! The band you mentioned sounds great, I look forward to checking them out! I love how you said you wish you’d gotten into them earlier but love your childhood and the shows that defined it.
    Have a wonderful year ahead!!💕✨

    1. Thank you so much D, I appreciate your kind words!

When did you first start drawing and writing? At least you’re doing it now and you really are a terrific writer. I’m glad I’m getting you interested in checking out new bands! Yes, I had a great childhood and I love emphasizing that. Do you have any tv shows that defined your childhood? Thanks so much!

Have a wonderful rest of your year!

      1. Of course!!
I have been drawing (kiddy stuff like huge humans and fairies 😂) since I was 4, but started learning it properly when I was 9. As for writing, I have been doing that since I was about 8 but got into it deeper in my teens.
Thank you very much! That means a lot!
Oh, Tom and Jerry and Mr.Bean!! I used to watch them almost everyday 😂 and I still do sometimes on YouTube.
        You too! ✨

      2. Woah you’ve been drawing since you were four? Nice! I suck at drawing humans, so I give you props for practicing at age four. You started writing early, no wonder why you’re so good at it!

I LOVE TOM AND JERRY!!! It’s my favorite cartoon show!! I love the idea of the little animal outsmarting the big animal haha. There are clips on youtube?!?! I need to search those up!

      3. Me too! *High five*😂
Mr. Bean was a British sitcom, it had an animated and real version which starred Rowan Atkinson. I’m not sure if it runs anymore. It is a really hilarious and good-natured series. I grew up watching the cartoon versions but the serial like ones are great too! You should check them out sometime! It’s really funny. There’s also a movie called ‘Bean’.

      4. Your *high five* made my day! I wish we could do it in person one day.

Rowan Atkinson, I just looked him up and he looks familiar! So I must’ve seen him somewhere. I’m sure I can find clips of the show on youtube!

  4. Is 22 the age when getting older stops being fun? ‘Cuz you’re allowed to buy alcohol and like go to casinos? Haha. Happy belated birthday! Hopefully next year is better than this one.

    1. Haha, thank you! Unfortunately casinos aren’t open…nah! I don’t drink and show no interest in gambling haha! I think when I turn 35, that’s when I might start to get worried about my age.

Thank you, let’s hope for a better year in 2021!

    1. Awww, thank you so much! I’m glad you liked the post. I’ve heard a few songs by 5SOS and they’re good! They’re still together yeah? I’m a huge One Direction fan too, not as much as before, but I still like them. Do you like Backstreet Boys?

I look forward to interacting with you as well!

      1. I haven’t heard Backstreet Boys yet, but a lot of people have beeb telling me to. The thing is, I never not like any artist’s music. For some reason I love anything to do with songs. So for me it’s more like I’ll either like that song or absolutely LOVE it. There’s no negative thing 😂. I know, I’m weird.

You really should listen to The Vamps! They’re very underrated but AWESOME!

      2. That’s a positive way to go for music, and not liking a song is not as bad as you make it sound. And this is coming from me, who is very picky about the music she listens to lol!

Backstreet Boys are awesome, but what drew me to them was the fact that they’ve been together since the 90s and not a lot of boybands that can say that!

I want to check out The Vamps, but I’m afraid of getting sucked into another boyband lol!

    1. That’s odd because I thought you were older than me, so I find it interesting you’re younger than me! I thought you were older because you have so much knowledge on these older bands. But yeah, I’ll work on the license. That day will come!

      Thanks for reading Harrison!
